SQL Server DBA
Position Summary
The SQL Server DBA position is best suited for someone possessing database administration experience with a background in SSIS. The successful candidate should have experience with SSIS package development and knowledge of developing reports using SSRS. Important qualities include problem-solving expertise as well as the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly-changing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create SSIS packages
- Develop reports primarily using SSRS,SSAS
- Support other Database Administrators
- Audit data related to Search engines and client web analytic packages
- Audit applications and tools
Core Competencies:
- SSIS package development
- Experience developing reports using SSRS, SSAS
- Successful track record of Microsoft technologies including SQL Server 2005 and 2008
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Competencies:
- Track record of successful implementations as a key developer in multiple BI initiatives
- Business Intelligence Development Services
- Data Architecture
- Visual Studio 2005
- Advanced SQL Skills (Tuning, ETL, Aggregation)
- MDX Skills a plus
- XML Skills a plus
Education/Experience Required/Preferred:
- Experience in DTS/SSIS and SQL 2005/SQL 2008
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field; or and equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in computer programming and applications analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive experience working with Microsoft’s SQL Server Platform
